Growing up with a childhood dream of being behind the wheel, Gerald didn’t immediately pursue that path. Life took him first into the demanding world of oil field welding—a job that introduced him to the grit, precision, and mechanical beauty of large trucks. It was there, surrounded by heavy machinery and long days on the job, that his fascination with trucking truly took root.
